1. Tell us about yourself: What inspired you to be a model? What is your focus in the modelling field?


Answer 1:

Ever since l was a child l would catwalk in front of my parents with a deep desire of being Miss Malaika. Something inside me always told me that's where l belong. As l grow older l started gaining weight, because of that all hope was lost thinking a model should be thin but when l went on to do my research l realised there were different types of modeling. As l read though the list of types of modeling l fell in love with Art Modeling. Since Art Modeling is broad with the help of bullies who called me an African because they said l looked too African, l chose to focusing on the African beauty and Culture.

Question 2

Tell us about your education: Have you attended modeling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken?


Answer 2:

I passed my ordinary level with flying colours because of some unfortunate circumstances l couldn't continue high school for Advanced level. I am currently studying journalism. As far as modeling is concerned l never attended modeling courses but attended modeling workshops organised by different modeling agencies.

Question 3

Why would you think you’re fit to be a model?


Answer 3:

I am know l am fit to be a model because l am self confident, beautiful and smart. Above all, l am passionate and l love modeling. l believe if you love what you do, you are bound to succeed.

Question 4

What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progress in this field?


Answer 4:

My goal is to make Art Modeling known and recognised by in Zimbabwe, Africa and the World at large, and to show it is equally as important as pageant and fashion modeling. I see myself inspiring young people who want to venture into art modeling and helping them become the best in their own way.
I desire to see my name The African Queen not only remain a name but a brand.

Question 5

What do you know about the advertisement industry, advertising psychology and photography?


Answer 5:

I think:
The advertising industry is can be branched under marketing, it is using influencer to attract a certain group of people so that they can pay attention to a product that is being advertised.
Advertising psychology is basically looking at what your target market is or enjoys and using it to get their attention on an advert.
Photography is broad, but all l can say is it is capturing a moment, processing it and having a picture as an output.

Question 6

How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?


Answer 6:

I am very patient, friendly, blunt and open to suggestion, at the same time l am nonsense intolerant, and if the line is crossed l am brutally honest about it with a smile on my face.

Question 7

Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?


Answer 7:

I jog every morning and do physical exercise. I eat health and drink a lot of water. For example l don't take alcohol, eat red meet or drink fizzy drinks. I have a diet plan that l try to follow, please note l try.

Question 8

Why should brands and promoters hire you ?


Answer 8:

A brand and/or promoter should hire me because l have high professional standards and trust worthy. I deliver everything l promise and l express myself when l feel l am unable fulfil a request. I am always on or before time and if l can not make it on time or make it at all l am accountable.

Question 9

Do you have any limitations? Would you model any kind of clothing at all?


Answer 9:

I wouldn't day l have limitations, l can model in any kind of clothing but as the African Queen l mainly focus on cultural wear.

Question 10

State your availability: would you travel? Work full-time, part time? Any hours?


Answer 10:

I am currently available to work full-time and l wouldn't mind travelling and l can work any reasonable hours.

Question 11

Answer 11:
